The lease is the first place to start. What does the lease state about number of occupants for the 2 bedroom unit? Is the 5 people all on the lease as occupants? If the are guest have they stayed pass the time guest are allowed under the lease? Reviewing the lease will give you all the answers and outline ramification and remedies that can be sought for any violations. Hope this helps

FYI Cypress and Katy is in high demand by housing clients and the inventory is very limited. Be prepared to put in at least two applications so that you do not run out of time waiting on just one. That area usually has multiple applications on any listing. Voucher amounts and zip codes can be a challenge as well
