Open House signs are not like our "for sale" real estate signs. You can even purchase signs at HAR that simply read "open house". The only thing you really need to be sure of is rather the neighborhood where you are hosting the open house allows them.
It isn't always straight forward, unfortunately. There is a gov website but I find it easier to google and or look at other listings to see if someone has done the work ahead of you. BUT ALWAYS VERIFY once you do.
One thing people always appreciate is an AG exemption, so if you have one...market it. Depending on the amount of acreage, it is sometimes beneficial to the seller to have it surveyed and subdivide it into tracts that have enough acreage to get that exemption. But always check with the county for the subdividing laws.
